Overview
GrooveHaus (GrooveHaus) helps you catalog and share your vinyl record collection. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it when you use groovehaus.app.
Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address, and profile image when you sign up or sign in.
- Collection data you add, including album metadata, condition notes, and cover photos you upload or scan.
- Usage data such as page views and feature interactions, collected via Google Analytics when enabled.
- Technical data such as browser type, device information, and IP address for security and rate limiting.
How we use your information
- To identify albums from cover photos using AI and Discogs metadata services.
- To store, organize, and display your collection and shared household crate.
- To improve reliability, prevent abuse, and understand product usage.
- To communicate account-related updates when necessary.
Camera and image data
When you scan a record cover, the image is sent to our servers and to OpenAI for recognition. We store cover images you choose to save with your collection records. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use.
Third-party services
GrooveHaus uses third-party providers including OpenAI, Discogs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and authentication providers. Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy.
Public collections
If you publish a shared crate, the collection name, record metadata, and cover art you have saved may be visible to anyone with the public link. You can unpublish at any time from Shared Crate settings.
Data retention and deletion
You may delete records from your collection and request account deletion by contacting us. We retain data only as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations.
